The RBN type rotary harrow is intended for pre-emergence and post-emergence harrowing of field crops (grain, row crops, technical crops) for the purpose of:
-
surface loosening and aeration of the soil;
-
destruction of threadlike weed shoots.
Effectively use a rotary harrow for spring harrowing of winter wheat.
The working parts of the harrow create ideal conditions for the initial development of the plant root system, mulch the top layer of soil well, destroying the soil crust, retain moisture and destroy threadlike weed roots up to 100% at speeds up to 20 km/h. This makes it possible to switch to herbicide-free technology. When a monolithic soil crust forms on the early shoots of cultivated plants, for example, corn in the 2–3 leaf phase, when the use of toothed harrows is impossible, the efficiency of using a rotary harrow increases dramatically.
The rotary harrow is aggregated with row-row tractors of traction classes 1, 4 and 2. The method of aggregation is mounted.
Rotary harrow test results
An experiment was conducted on winter wheat crops in the spring tillering phase to investigate the accumulation of nitrogen from the air by wheat in comparison with a plot where ammonium nitrate was applied at a rate of 100 kg/ha. Plants were selected for analysis on the 15th and again on the 20th day after the first selection.
The results of the analyses showed that the nitrogen content in winter wheat plants is at the same level of availability.
